MINI HAUL! MINI TUTORIALS! MINI REVIEWS!

Hello again fellow beauty lovers! I recently ordered a few special purchases and I have been waiting for all three to arrive before I made a post about them, and here they are! I hope you enjoy what I have to say about these items, because I sure enjoyed testing them out!

The first purchase that arrived was part of the much anticipated MAC x Marge collection. When I found out that my favorite show of all time was being featured in a limited edition makeup collection from MAC, my inner Simpsons nerd knew I absolutely had to get my hands on something from the line. Unfortunately for me though, I could only afford one piece from the collection, so I decided to pick up one of the blushes. I felt that the blushes ($24) could provide the most bang for your buck as apposed to the false eyelashes ($18.50), or the eyeshadow quads ($44) (although if given the chance, I would have purchased those too!). And being the die-hard Simpsons fan that I am, I just could not resist the adorable packaging and Marge's face printed into the blush (omg).

I ended buying the blush in the color "Sideshow You". It is a strong coral color, but when applied with a light hand, it can be universally flattering on every skin tone. I have been wearing it every day for the past week and it pairs nicely with every makeup look! It is mega pigmented and such a gorgeous color. I highly recommend this!

If you have tried anything else from the Simpsons collection, I would love to chat with you guys and find out what the other items are like!

Too Faced posted on their Instagram that there was an online sale with up to 71% off of their already marked down sale items. So naturally, I clicked and scrolled as fast as I could to get to their website to scope out the scene. Items were going fast, so I picked up the Glamour to Go mini palette (on sale for $11, current price is $19.80-sold out), and one other item (but more on that later). At first glance, the packaging is pretty awesome. Now the actual content inside? Well, that was pretty good too!

This palette features 8 eyeshadows; 2 matte, 6 shimmery, with a bronzer, blush, and lipgloss as well. I'm not sure what I was expecting from this palette, but let me tell you, it sure did surprise me! About half of the eyeshadows are great quality, while some were just alright. The bronzer was not lacking in pigmentation, but just a weird color on me. The blush is gorgeous and gives a lovely naturally flushed look. And lastly, the lip gloss is just okay. It is lacking in color, but it could be nice layered on top of something else.

I created a little look with this palette for you guys. I tried to make it simple and neutral. I also used the blush, bronzer, and lipgloss that was included in the palette. Along with the palette, I used the Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade in blonde for my brows, the E.l.f. liquid liner, the L'oreal Miss Manga Mascara, the Lumene Finland CC cream in Light, and the Maybelline Fit Me concealer in 15 Fair.

I'm really happy with the way this look turned out. This palette would be awesome for a makeup beginner or for someone that needs something quick and small for travel. Great purchase!

Lastly, I purchased the Too Faced "Jingle all the Way" palette that comes with a cute little iPhone 5 case. I got this for $10 during the sale, but now the price is back to $19 on the Too Faced website. This was originally released during the holiday season, which makes sense because it would make a great small gift.

Let me just say that I think that Too Faced had a great idea with this and the other iPhone case palettes. I only wish that they had been better quality. The palette features 9 sparkle eyeshadows, 2 matte eyeshadows, a bronzer, and a blush. The sparkle eyeshadows were disappointing to say the least. Granted some were better than others, but none were overwhelmingly great. There was a lot of fallout when I tested them, and the worst of them were not true to color and not pigmented at all. The matte shades however are decent, not anything spectacular though. The bronzer is pretty bad. A tad on the orange side, and very, very shimmery. It almost comes off as a bronzy highlight. On the plus side, I do think that the bronzer would make a pretty eyeshadow shade. The blush is highly pigmented and seems to be good quality. The color is super bright and when paired with the appropriate look, it could look quite nice.

Once again, I created a look for you guys to show what can be done with this palette. I really tried to make a quality eyeshadow look with the shades given, but they were extremely hard to blend! It came off very chalky looking. I am also wearing the blush and bronzer of the palette. With all that being said, I apologize I couldn't make this look better. I will however, keep toying around with this palette to see if it improves any! :)

(I'm sorry there's not a close up view with this look, I really did not want to get any closer, lol.)

Overall, I'm glad I only spent $10 on this. I would not recommend for anyone to purchase it at the full $19 price. The phone case is pretty cute so I will be using that, but I'm not sure if I can say the same for the actual makeup in it!

So there ya have it folks. Which look did you prefer? Did you like the MAC x Marge collection? Have you tried any of the products mentioned? Let me know, I love to chat! I'll leave today's post with a side-by-side comparison with the looks I created! I hope you enjoyed reading and come back again soon!
